My commitments Lighting: I will replace the old light bulbs in my home with energy-efficient LED bulbs. Air Conditioning Settings: During the summer months, I will always set my air conditioning to the ideal temperature range of 23–24°C. Conscious Shopping: When buying white goods, I will consider not only the price but also the energy efficiency class and annual energy consumption. Standby (Vampire Energy): I will not leave electronic devices in standby mode when not in use; I will unplug them from the socket. Low Heat: When washing my laundry, I will opt for energy-saving low temperatures rather than high heat. Eco Mode: I will always use eco programmes on my dishwasher to save water and energy. Thermal Insulation: I will take care to implement insulation and efficiency measures to reduce my home’s heating and cooling load. Maintenance and Cleaning: I will clean my air conditioner’s filters regularly to ensure it runs more efficiently. Fridge Efficiency: I will leave sufficient space behind my fridge to allow for air circulation, thereby improving its efficiency. Correct Use: I will keep doors and windows closed whilst the air conditioner is running to prevent energy loss.
